Trip to Wimbleball Dam
Oak and Ash Class joined pupils from the Exford and the Middle School on a fascinating trip to Wimbleball Dam; INSIDE! We were granted special access to go inside the Dam thanks to Dave Gurnett, the National Park Authority's Education Manager. We learnt about why the Dam was built and how the reservoir was created in the 1970sm and saw the 'control room' of the Dam and how South West Water operate it. It was a great day, despite torrential downpours, and the children and staff learned a great deal. The children were very well behaved and were a credit to the school. We would all like to thank Dave Gurnett for making this unique experience possible.
